In February, 2022 Sandals Royal Bahamian reopened after completing a multi million dollar renovation which now includes, all new swim up suites, renovated rooms, 10 new dining options, 3 new food trucks and an all new Coconut Grove section. The restaurants are great and there is something for everyone. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and dinner at the Italian restaurant is not one to miss. All butler-serviced categories include a private luxury roundtrip airport transfer in a Rolls Royce or Mercedes Benz. All new Coconut Grove is a beachside and palm tree-lined area to lounge, dine and play The staff are genuinely friendly and will go out of their way to put a smile on your face. The rooms in all of the buildings are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. There are a lot of guests using the Butler service and for this resort we believe it’s worth the extra money. There are two large pools. One pool is the active pool with a lot of music and lots of activities. The other pool on the Balmoral side is quiet and great for relaxing. The ocean can be quite cool during the winter months. The beach is not large but it is beautiful and very swimmable. We love the off shore island and the Red Lane Spa that’s attached to it. This island has an abundance of private areas to relax and is not over crowded. The beach is beautiful and has hammocks in the water where you can unwind and maybe even have a turtle visit you. Nightly entertainment is not lacking here and you’ll want to enjoy a nightcap at the Balmoral bar or Cricketers Pub. The Red Lane Spa is quiet and relaxing. We highly recommend having your experience on the Private Island. The diving is good here and for an extra expense you can opt in for an exclusive shark diving experience, which is a must do! The fire pits at night are a nice way to spend an evening and make new friends. The view from the gym on the top floor is amazing. WiFi is free but can be a bit spotty at times. Room service is quick and the menu is worth exploring. The 2 food trucks are located here and it’s the place to party in the evening. Additional considerations and tips for visiting Sandals Royal Bahamian: When at or near capacity the resort can be busy and finding loungers with shade is at a premium. Not all restaurants are open every day so make sure to book dinner reservations upon arrival. If you want to snorkel on the Private Island, you’ll need to bring your own snorkeling gear. If you are looking for a private place with good food and service, where you can do as much as you want, or, as little, Sandals Royal Bahamian will not disappoint. While it is not something people like to think about, injuries, accidents, and illnesses can and do happen when traveling. As stressful as it might be to consider what unfortunate events may happen while you are away from home, it helps to have travel insurance coverage in case you require a medical evacuation during your trip.

Bahamas COVID 19 Travel Requirements The Bahamas has changed requirements for entry into the country and travel between the islands effective on Friday, August 6, with rules that apply to both cruise passengers and travelers arriving by air. All fully vaccinated travelers and children ages two to 11 years old must test negative for COVID-19 no more than five days prior to arrival. This same rule applies to unvaccinated individuals 12 years and older. Cruise passengers must still apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa and follow the rules for entry into the island nation. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated cruise passengers must also test negative for COVID-19 within five days of entry into the country. To travel between the islands in the Bahamas, like Grand Bahama, Nassau, Bimini, Exuma and others, fully vaccinated individuals and children from two to 11 must also test negative within five days of travel. This is the same for unvaccinated individuals age 12 and older. These rules are for all travelers who apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa beginning Friday, August 6. Those who have already applied and obtained their Bahamas Travel Health Visa will not have to adhere to these new entry requirements. Cruising returned to the Bahamas in late June, after sixteen months of halted sailings due to the pandemic. Back in May , the islands had allowed vaccinated travelers to enter without having to test negative for COVID-19. It is possible that the restrictions are tightening once again to help prevent the spread of the Delta variant.
